Time 4 Research Symposium at British Society of Gerontology Conference

Mayumi Hashami, Keith Sumner and Ruth Naughton-Doe are presenting a Symposium on time banking and older people at the British Society of Gerontology Annual Conference in Keele, 11-13th July.

Innovation in adult social care: time banking and older people, with examples from the UK and Japan.

Ruth will be presenting an overview of time banking key concepts followed by a critical consideration of the evidence base for time banking, with a specific focus on projects with older adults.

Mayumi will present PhD research which explores the history of time banking with older people in Japan, and highlighting some lessons for the UK.

Keith will discuss a current project which is seeking to develop a model of time banking which works with older people in the UK.
